Dies ist die englische Version von Rival Cities. Eine deutsche Version ist separat erhältlich (57823G).
It is the 16th century: the small fishing village of Altona is founded near Hamburg and soon grows into a serious rival to the venerable Hanseatic city. But although Altona finally became part of Hamburg in the 20th century, the history of the rival cities could have taken a different course ...
In the city duel Rival Cities, cleverly deployed diversionary maneuvers are just as important as correctly assessing the opponent's intentions. Over the course of a maximum of seven seasons, the cities take turns. The inkwell can be moved to any space in order to carry out the corresponding actions. The right balance between costs and benefits is crucial here, as long distances cost more goods. Actions such as production or exchanging goods fill your own stock, while a donation can help you earn points with star markers. However, whether these are really worth anything will only become clear if one of the cities does not achieve immediate victory by gaining an unassailable lead in one of the four success areas - reputation, processes, ships or alliances.
