Dies ist die englischsprachige Version von Junta. Eine deutsche Version ist separat erhältlich (51801G).
In the now legendary República de las Bananas, a corrupt military dictatorship rules whose members are only interested in money and power. In Junta, the classic board game, their means range from intrigue to revolution.
At the beginning, the president is “elected”, who draws the (unknown) budget from the pile of money, then appoints his 6 cabinet members and gives them part of his budget. Of course, some ministers are not satisfied with their income, so there is a lot of scheming and finally, logically enough, the junta is rehearsed and the president is overthrown! He is allowed to keep all the money he was able to transfer to a Swiss numbered account before his overthrow. Then a new president is elected and the game starts all over again. The winner, of course, will be the one who has accumulated the most money in their own Swiss bank account at the end of the game, as is traditional in military dictatorships!
The board game Junta, bursting with black humor, has been a perennial favorite for over 30 years and was highly praised in the New York Times and the Washington Post when it was published. The new edition of Junta presents the classic in a new box format and with new game material.
